Ingrid - Clinical Director
BVM&S MRCVS, GP Cert SAM
I am from southern Ireland and qualified in 2007. Since qualifying I have worked in Ireland and spent three years working in Australia, which was an amazing experience. I have been working in companion animal practice in England since 2012, and gained my Certificate in Small Animal Internal medicine in October 2013. The team at Swadlincote are fantastic to work with and everyone is very dedicated to providing excellent care for our patients. I love animals and my little dog Hobbes lives in Ireland with my Mum. In my spare time, I can be found out running, cycling and or jumping into cold open water for a swim!

Kevin - Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S MRCVS
I qualified in 1994 from Glasgow University, came to work here in Swadlincote that summer, and stayed here ever since! Both staff and clients are very friendly and easy to work with, and that's why I decided to stay. I enjoy working here, and like both the medical and surgical aspects of my job. In my spare time, I like to walk, cycle and occasionally do the odd track day at Oulton Park, and of course Donington Park.

Petar - Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated in 2015 from Trakia University and I joined the practice team here two years ago. I enjoy all aspects of my job from meeting puppies/kittens at first vaccinations to managing unwell patients and have a passion for surgery. I enjoy exercising regularly, spending time at the sea side and going out with friends.

Felicity - Veterinary Surgeon
MRCVS
I qualified in 2020 from the University of Nottingham and joined the practice here that summer. I love all the parts of my job but have a keen interest in surgery. Outside of work I like to spend time with my friends and my ragdoll cat. I also enjoy swimming and football.

Natalie - Veterinary Surgeon
MRCVS
I qualified from Nottingham university in 2019. I have been working in small animal practice since I qualified and joined the team at Swadlincote Vets in 2021. I am very passionate about management of our older patients particularly dental, weight and osteoarthritis management. I am very much a cat person and love giving our feline patients the time and space to feel respected in the clinic. I do love a dog cuddle too! In my spare time I enjoy yoga, caving, singing and snuggling with my cat Leesha.

Hayley - Head Nurse
RVN
I am the Head Nurse and have been working at Swadlincote Veterinary Centre since 1998, graduating at Rodbaston in 2002.

I enjoy helping to lead the team and all aspects of nursing. I am proud to be part of a dedicated caring team when it comes to our clients and their pets.

In my spare time I enjoy swimming and family days out with my husband and our three daughters.

Christine - Veterinary Nurse

I have been a qualified nurse for 23 years although I started in the profession nearly 30 years ago. I love all aspects of my job equally with a keen interest in in-patient care and imaging. One of my favourites though is laboratory work. I am the health and safety representative and aid the practice in achieving a high level of care in the RCVS practice standards.

I no longer have a cat but do have a crazy old black Labrador (which keeps me and my family on their toes), so coming to work keeps me sane! My main hobbies include puzzles, painting, reading and baking/decorating cakes.

Keri - Veterinary Nurse

Hi my name is Keri and I have been working as a veterinary nurse since February 2000. I joined the team at Swadlincote Vets in January 2014. I am one of the cat advocates in practice and I'm also responsible for keeping the practice Facebook page up to date. I love doing clinics and meeting all of your wonderful furry friends (and their owners of course 🙂). I have a keen interest in animal behaviour and have done several cpd courses on the subject. I'm currently studying the "Cat behavioural health programme" provided by International Cat Care. In my spare time I am a keen genealogist and love researching my family history. I also help out with my daughter's football team.

Sarah B - Veterinary Nurse

I qualified as a veterinary nurse in the Easter of 2019. I love every aspect of my career, and I love working with such a happy and enthusiastic team. I am especially interested in pain relief and animal welfare. I see each patient as if they were my own fur baby so rest assured they will be well looked after and have lots of fuss! In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit at a boxing class, running and going to the gym. I also love to spend time with my niece going to Junior Parkrun and making fun memories!

Corrie - Veterinary Nurse

My name is Corrie and I’ve been a registered veterinary nurse since 2013. I was previously here at Swadlincote vets back in 2014 for 3 years until leaving to work at Pride Park hospital for 3 years, and I’ve since returned!
I have 3 crazy cats, and two little girls which keeps me very busy.
I love nutrition for animals and a good chat, so any questions I’m here to help!

Sarah - Veterinary Nurse

I have been a nurse for over 20 years, starting with the PDSA and then going into referral practice before coming full circle and coming back to first opinion practice. I love walking with my dog and chasing mice (be they fake or real!) with my cats.

Natasha - Veterinary Nurse

I graduated from veterinary nursing in 2021 and I have been involved with the veterinary industry for 9 years. In my spare time I enjoyed spending time with family and friends, my three dogs and my pet hamster. I also play and umpire field hockey on the weekends. I love working at Swadlincote vets and with such an amazing team of people.

Helen - Veterinary Nurse
RVN, Cat Well-being Advocate, Canine Behaviour Counsellor
I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2019 and have worked in animal care from the age of 16 starting out working in zoos and then trained as a student veterinary nurse as an apprentice. I have a keen interest in behaviour and inpatient care. When not working I am busy juggling being mum to two dogs, two cats and a small child.

Claire - Veterinary Nurse

I came into the veterinary profession over twenty years ago, having left a career in wildlife conservation. Over the years I have worked with an array of animals, not only small animal but equine, farm livestock and, of course, wildlife. I love caring for my many pets which include horses, dogs, cats and chickens, to name a few. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, nordic walking and going wild camping with my beloved old Land Rover.

Rosie - Student Veterinary Nurse

Hi, my name is Rosie and I am currently training to become a registered vet nurse here at Swadlincote vets! I love being part of such a caring team, who help me along the way with my studies, and teach me everything I need to know about caring for our lovely patients. In my spare time (apart from revising) I enjoy the gym, baking and cuddling my miniature dachshund, Bonnie.

Lisa - Practice Manager
I have been part of the team here at Swadlincote since January 2021. Everyone here is friendly, approachable and great to work with and above all, provide excellent care to our amazing clients and their pets. My previous roles have all been within the construction sector and I have a variety of knowledge with over 30 years' experience in management. I enjoy the daily contact you have with staff, clients and their pets and ensuring the practice runs smoothly. I am also a dog lover and have a handsome Patterdale Terrier called Rolo, who is a cheeky character. My interests include socialising, running, skiing and travelling.

Kay - Administration Manager
I am the Administration Manager and have been working at Swadlincote Veterinary Centre for many years now. In my younger days, I was part of the Nursing Team and now my role is mainly behind the scenes, trying to make sure everything runs smoothly. I also work front of house at reception, where I love to catch up with all of our clients and their beloved pets.

Sarah - Receptionist
Hi my name is Sarah, I'm a mother of five wonderful children and two beloved fur babies - my cats. After spending 30 years in the leisure Industry, I made a rewarding career change and now work at Swadlincote Veterinary Practice. I'm passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment for every visitor, ensuring they're always greeted with a friendly smile. I look forward to seeing you when you next visit us.

Julia - Receptionist
I'm Julia, and I'm animal crazy - has owned over the years geckos, bearded dragons, tortoises, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, dogs and cats! Just a mum to 4 dogs, a rabbit, a tortoise and 5 chickens now. Really enjoy 80's music, 80's movies and love Christmas and baking cakes. Family is everything.

Zoe - Receptionist
My name is Zoe, I joined the practice in August 2021. My previous background had been working in the Early Years sector so this has been a big change and I am fully enjoying the new challenge.The staff here are all just lovely to work with and are fantastic at their jobs. When i'm not at work my husband, 3 children, 2 grandchildren and my little Cavachon Daisy keep me busy and in my spare time I enjoy catching up and socialising with friends and going away for weekends and holidays.

Gilli - Receptionist
Hi I'm Gilly, mum of 6 so very busy! I absolutely love animals being an owner of Dogs ducks rabbits cats and fish and a tortoise over the years! Love anything craft wise and I'm always making something or another or gardening if I get any spare time!

Lisa H - Receptionist
Hi my name is Lisa,I'm married with 3 grown up children, and also a mum to my 2 dogs Betsy who's a Puggle aged 10 and Milo who's a Frenchie and he's aged 2. I enjoy going for long walks with my dogs and socialising with friends. I'm also a lover of reading murder mystery novels. I also enjoy travelling with family or friends.

Sarah A - Receptionist
Hi, I am Sarah. I have worked with the Swadlincote vet team since 2015. Many years ago, I worked as a qualified Veterinary nurse in several different locations, we moved around a bit!

We relocated here after our first child was born and I decided to devote my time to looking after our 3 children who are close in ages.

I came back to work as front of house on reception, I love having a natter with clients and meeting our patients.

In my free time I enjoy walking our dog Millie, going to the gym, spending time with family and socialising with friends.
